Questions owners ask us

Do I really need a bookkeeper if I use QuickBooks?

QuickBooks is a tool, not a bookkeeper. The software records what it is told; a bookkeeper makes sure what it is told is right. Most cleanup work we do is on books that were kept in QuickBooks the whole time.

What does the IRS actually require me to keep?

The IRS requires you to keep records that clearly show your income and expenses, plus the supporting documents behind them, and you must be able to back up what goes on your tax return. Clean books are the foundation every business stands on, not a nice-to-have.

What is a Financial Health Check?

A free, no-pressure look at where your business stands. We review your numbers, tell you what we see in plain language, and if there is a fit we talk about what makes sense. No charge, no pitch.

What is the difference between a bookkeeper and a fractional CFO?

A good bookkeeper records your transactions so your books reflect what actually happened. A fractional CFO uses those records to look forward: cash flow projections, pricing, which parts of the business actually make money, and what to do next.

When is my business big enough for a CFO?

Sooner than most owners think. If you are making real decisions on gut feel because the numbers are stale or confusing, you are ready for CFO-level help, even part-time.
